The Sleeping Dragon

I have begun my research into the nature and causes of mental illness. As requested, here are my notes. These are just the beginning; I have much, much more to investigate, and shall update the notes as progress is made. Feel free to contribute or give me any information you might have. Everything is useful, and appreciated.

What may bring such madness and bloodlust into a man's mind? Surely one cannot be born like that. Would war corrupt one, in the right circumstances? Torture? Death of loved ones?

...or are there baser reasons? Simple explanations as to why a man's mind can corrupt so?

I must investigate this further. It shall help me to understand my current enemy.

Hmm. Yesterday I was cursed, and lost my wisdom. I remember only a few things, but I have many injuries that suggest I must have been quite the trial for those who took care of me. I do apologise, and hope I can repay you somehow.

I had to lie about my memories for the sake of Jiang Wei. I fear I may have... embarassed him to a huge degree. To bring my actions up would only embarass him further. That would be counterproductive and unfair to him. I fear already he may never be able to hear the word 'pretty' again without flinching.

After exploring this city and learning more about the way it works, and its inhabitants, I have decided I must look for work. I have great wisdom, logic and intellect; this is not an arrogant statement, simply truth. There is much in which I could assist and be of use. I hope, therefore, it does not take too long to fulfill this objective.

Jiang Wei, I do not wish you to find work, at least yet. You must dedicate yourself to your studies.
